These easy double chocolate chip protein bars are a fudgy, delicious way to get your protein in! Packed with chocolately flavour in every bite, these bars are also dairy-free, grain-free, refined-sugar free, plant-based.

Skip the store-bought bars with weird ingredients, and opt for my easy double chocolate chip protein bars that give you 10g of protein for only 180 calories per bar! Note, you can always lower the calorie count by reducing the amount of chocolate chips used in the bars.

HOW TO MAKE DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP PROTEIN BARS


Making double chocolate chip protein bars is a simple process that results in a delicious and nutritious snack. Here’s a step-by-step guide:


  • Mixing the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together until well mixed.

  • Chilling the Mixture: Place the mixture in the fridge for 20 minutes to help it firm up.

  • Preparing the Chocolate Topping: In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together over low heat until smooth.

  • Combining and Setting: Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the protein bar mixture and spread evenly. Let it set in the fridge for 40 minutes.

  • Cutting and Enjoying: Once set, cut the bars into your desired size and enjoy!

EASY DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP PROTEIN BARS


Serves: 12

Chocolate chip protein bars on parchment paper with flakey salt

Ingredients


  • 2 cups Almond Flour

  • 4 scoops plant-based protein powder, chocolate

  • 2 tsp cocoa or cacao powder

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips, plus 1/2 cup to melt

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

  • Flakey salt to top (optional)


TO MAKE


  1. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.


  2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, then press dough into lined pan. Place in the fridge for 20 minutes to firm up.


  3. In a small saucepan, melt together 1/2 cup chocolate chips and coconut oil- or alternatively place in the microwave for 40 seconds or until silky smooth.


  4. Pour melted chocolate over chocolate protein mixture. Place in the fridge for at least 40 minutes or until chocolate is completely set.


  5. Top with flakey salt, slice and enjoy!
